Product description
Professional Phantom HSS Hand Tap Set (ISO 529), 2-piece, specifically designed for cutting UNF (Unified National Fine) threads. Made from high-quality HSS for reliable manual use in general-purpose steels. This 2-step set distributes the cutting load, with both taps cutting to the exact nominal finish size. The taps are distinguished by their short and medium cutting lengths. The tap with the medium cut (approx. 3–5 threads) centers and cuts the first thread. The tap with the short cut (approx. 1–2 threads) is essential for finishing and tapping close to the bottom of blind holes.
