Product description
Professional Phantom HSS Hand Tap Set (ISO 529), 2-piece, specifically designed for manually cutting PG (Panzergewinde) threads. This thread profile is widely used in electrical engineering. Manufactured from high-quality HSS for reliable performance in general steel grades. This 2-step set distributes the cutting load, with both taps cutting to the exact nominal finish size. The taps are distinguished by their short and medium cutting lengths. The tap with the medium cut (approx. 3–5 threads) centers and cuts the first thread. The tap with the short cut (approx. 1–2 threads) is essential for finishing and tapping close to the bottom of blind holes.
