Professional Phantom HSS Hand Tap Set (ISO 529), 2-piece, specifically designed for manually cutting NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads. This is a tapered (tapered) thread profile that is essential for creating sealed connections. Manufactured from high-quality HSS for reliable performance in steel. This 2-step set (starter and finisher) is designed to accurately build up the complex tapered profile. The taps feature short and medium-length flutes, which effectively distribute the cutting load during the progressive cutting of the tapered profile.
