Product description
Professional Phantom HSS-E PM Synchro Machine Tap (DIN 376) for metric threads. The top choice for CNC machines and designed for production applications. The HSS-E powder metal (PM) and TiCN coating provide maximum tool life. As a Universal (UNI) tool, this tap—thanks to its special geometry—can be used on a wide range of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. A distinctive feature of DIN 376 is the through-shank (reduced shank). The geometry is specifically designed for blind holes: the 40° helix angle effectively lifts the chips upward, and the 2–3-start cut (Type C) cuts close to the bottom. This synchro tap is designed to be clamped rigidly only (rigid tapping) for the highest process reliability
